The summer is coming, and you are feeling more and more upset in the uncomfortable torrid air. Why don’t you go to some cool places and calm down in the refreshing environment? During this trip, you can visit the famous places for summering in Beidaihe, and enjoy the cool atmosphere in China.
Day 1 Beijing - Qinhuangdao by Train (L)
Pick up from your hotel in Beijing and transferred to Beijing Train Station. Then take train for Qinhuangdao.
Met by our representative in Qinhuangdao and freshen up. We will drive to the First Pass under Heaven at Shanhaiguan for a historic survey. The First Pass under Heaven is considered the No.1 pass of the Great Wall. Built in Ming Dynasty around 700 years ago, the pass city used to be an important defense city against intrusions by the nomadic people from the north.
After Chinese lunch, move on to visit Old Dragon's Head (Laolongtou), the easternmost end of the Great Wall, which extends 23 meters into the sea like a dragon drinking water, hence its name.
Drive south to your beachside Hotel in Beidaihe. You have a free and relaxing later afternoon on your own, playing on the beach near your hotel.
Day 2 Beidaihe (B+L)
Today, to be a early bird and get up around 4:00 am if fine weather to see the sunrise at the Yingjiao Pavilion sitting on top the rock at Dove Nest Park. Beidaihe is one of nine famous sun-rise watching spots in China. The Yingjiao Pavilion is the best place to watch the sun rise.
After breakfast, we will head to the tourist pier to catch a 40-minute sea cruising near Beidaihe. It is a double body ship. So it is a steady and smooth cruising. The 40-minute's cruising is quite interesting.
Then head to the Tiger Rock Park to take some pictures. Tiger Rock Park refers to a group of differently shaped clusters of reefs along the seaside in the Beidaihe center, like crouching tigers. Climbing on the Tiger Rocks provides you a great view of the tide's ebb and flow.
Afterwards, have a quick tour of Beidaihe Olympic Avenue Park. The Qinhuangdao served as one of the Football venues during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
After lunch, transferred back to your hotel and have a free afternoon on your own.
Day 3 Qinhuangdao - Beijing by Train (B+L)
After breakfast at, you will check out and head to the east of Shanhaiguan for the Jiaoshan Great Wall hiking. Jiaoshan is the first mountain peak of the Great Wall from Shanhaiguan.
After Chinese lunch, you are arranged to take a train back to Beijing. Met and returned to your hotel in Beijing.
