Introduction

Spoken Chinese is a compulsory course specializing in developing students’ ability in oral communication. The course is delivered in small classes with about 15 students in each class and it is taught in Chinese. Students are placed in classes suitable to their Chinese proficiency levels after a placement test at the beginning of each term.
1.Elementary level: To communicate with basic words& sentences, then be able to exchange simple information & ideas in most common daily conversation and in the workplace, to understand and take part in general discussion.
2. Intermediate level: Be able to communicate in Chinese effectively & flexibly in a wide range of work and social scenarios.
3. Advanced level: be able to understand mostly Chinese news, Deal with daily affairs in Chinese, be able to communicate with proper expression on various topics involving society, economy, culture and so on.
